Christmas at Pfizer & My Loneliness!!!
The Christmas Holiday Started from today and collogues from office are leaving early. It’s an 11 day long holiday at Pfizer, USA and for me too.
Everyone around me at Groton, are so happy coz they must have lot of plans as how to spend time with their families. There’s a cheerful smile on everyone’s face. Black, white or brown…no matter what color they are all from, they greet and wish each other with a beautiful smile. I wonder their happiness & wish them back saying, Merry Christmas & Wish you a very happy holiday, Happy New Year…!!!
Our canteen at Towers was almost empty today. The old American lady at my regular counter was not present! She always used to greet me with typical welcome note! Having lunch alone is a daily affair for me these days…but today the Thames River view through huge canteen glasses was not atall exciting! The ocean far away looks calm unlike me asking several tough questions…How could you be so lonely?? What’ll you do during the holidays? The two Indian girls (one tall and one short) would look at me from a distance & ignore like they do everyday!
Everyone would enjoy with their girl friends, wives for the week ahead! Everyone would be happy and I feel like every one would mock me!
I don’t have anyone here…neither I do have a companion to visit! The thick layers of snow outside hotel are just not made for pedestrians to walk around too!
I am just existing...working to make myself busy but their wont be any work for one week! I plan to plan things for Pfizer! But who could plan for me! I have some wishes for Santa too as the say Santa makes wishes true. Don’t know why, my loneliness forces my throat to choke while writing this blog and my eyes are about to dampen!!! I miss everyone back home!!!
