Travel Story: Another Country USA...Another New Place...Santa Carla!

Would you imagine? The taxi was scheduled to pick me at 6 am to Heathrow Airport. I worked whole night, called up home at 1.30am...told Anie that I will start packing after the call. I should have done immediately...had I not slept until it was 5.54am!!!

Ramanan (The driver) was in time! I had to make him wait for 15 mins. The shortest ever time that I took pack my baggage's to carry from London to San Fransisco!! Don't know how I packed but I was in the cab at 6.25am...he he!!

Another round of security checks...another bunch of strangers...another Boeing 747-400 flight...another Country USA...another Immigration Port San Francisco! Hold on! The 1st immigration officer was very good but he didn't approve my request and sent me for 2nd round of interview. The 2nd officer, verified my form and found 3 mistakes (Phew!!!). Told don't show me that letter from your customer...I know what all u guys do! Next time come in H1-B.

It seems he liked me as a nice guy!!! What a complement! I got my I-94 and and there I was in front of another baggage collection tape! Collected and caught a shuttle for Santa Carla.

The shuttle was filled with Taiwanese...and most of them were ladies. After dropping them all, I was at Mariani Inn, Met Anupom and booked another Hotel Room for one month!!!

Called up everyone confirming my arrival...confirmed to myself that I am in a new town...with certain new set of challenges from a new Customer :)
