Crumbling Hopes

Is there a way to avoid crumbling hopes brick by brick? One can be smart, visionary & optimist but at some point, he is dependent on others to execute the objectives to action! A temple is envisioned to be built offering spiritual sanctity to a community. A temple therefore needs a group of masons & creative artists to design shape & color it. A priest finally inaugurates it and millions offer prayers there on! Thereafter, God becomes the integral part of the Temple. Nevertheless, bricks and mortars which hold the temple tight to its foundation structure remain vital for its stability in silence.
We realize this when a storm strikes and re-validate corners of the temple verifying each brick's bond. If one of the bricks is corroded, cannot withstand the wind pressure it fells... others follow and the temple crumbles!
Don’t ask me why I am speaking of the bricks, mortar & temple today.
I can even correlate bricks with resources and temple with an organization. When mortar becomes hope of professionalism, masons & artists resemble leaders. Weathering a storm may not be difficult these days, but surviving its impact is not less than a slow poison. It’s like you have a throat infection with cough, clod and headache but you tested positive for H1N1 virus!
3 bricks have fallen apart and one more has loosened today. The storm has passed by and optimism seems to be fading. When hope crumbles and everyone around is unsecured, one question remains intriguing…can the Temple survive?

yes,d temple'll survive.leme tell u 1 thng a temple nvr means a b'ful mansion wher deity's thr wth lot of ppl wthout having faith in heart. A temple's place whr God stays,whr devotee hopes revolve arnd.it cn b a devotee's heart or cn b under a tree.bt if ppl's blieve thr temple'll survive.it's said bt dont who said originally said bt 2 me my dad says frm my chldhood days dat whr hope's thr God's thr.

thnk God finally gt som tym 2 post my opnion.I wanted to post it coz i am very much optimistic and want ppl to b optimistic.Coz i believe that if u think evry thng +ve den evry thng will happen as per u.Jst give a try.u cn find d result.its tested & proved also dat if u always think of a things 2 b happening it'll definitly happen.
Nw comin back 2 u r query as per ur org has passed thru a strom n its side effects r felt nw.as per u bricks r falling.bt cud nt understand ur role.If u r also a brick den u cn b d foundation stone .And if the foundation stone remains architecture can build the temple again as devotee's believe and hope thr.If you are a priest(leader) den leme ask u a qn every bric(resource) has their own prob.dey gt loosened frm temple wall wen their prob does nt gt solved.Nw my qn 2 u is wat den u were doing wen u found dat brick is getting loosen?u cud ve initimate the architecture abt d prob or if possible cud patch up wth som cement.I mean to say dat u cud ve resolve thr prob as a leader n cud ve given confidence on d org as dats d true spirit of leader.And if u r an architecture(senior leader of Co LIK MD) den y ur hopes r crumbling wen u cn join dem again.

C in dis world 2 type of ppl exist
1.who follow others
2.WHo rules world by changing d world as per them imagining the thing getting happened.(Its gud b realistic bt being imaginative till end also bring gud result.even MR APJ Abdul KAlam also hd said if u dont dream u cant mak ur dreams true.It means u dream n mak ur dream true by doing effort.

Nw u decide in which category u falls in or wants to be fall in.... a ruler or a follower.

u may thnk dis person saying really a imaginative person.yup i am a imaginative person as i believe in my dreams n try to make them true.even in -ve situation.-ve situation i treat it as a golden chance.
Now if i were in you postion it would be golden chance for me to grow up high with my fellow ppl as max ppl r follower.

at the end i can only say never give up hope n hopes nvr crumble 4 an optimistic ppl.

Note:This author is saying all this thing as i have taken risk wth my carrer believing my imagination n dream n finally m,ade evrthng happend as per me.

Amazing ways of introspection. Through a temple, its bricks, an idol and its devotee. Still you can resemble hopes ahead of a storm. The friend who has commented above through a long note deserves credits as he/she clearly expresses optimism. However, I am not in full aggreement. Being optimistic is ok but sometimes you cant avoid setbacks particularly if you are dependent on others. Think in this way...you are a leader...your organization just went through a crisis but recovered. In aftermath, your team folks are insecure and are leaving the org for other jobs. What will you do? You are a leader and you cannot give hikes to everyone to retain talent. I think the author points these things as bricks.

My suggestion would be to repair & rebuild. Use fresh mortar and strong bricks to replace the old ones. Convince the temple trustees to rely on your confidence and get buy in to expand aggressively. These days if bricks are talents or team members, there are thousand others who are jobless. Groom them to reuse. You cant be optimistic about the result but for optimisms' sake the temple will surely survive!

Vision is universal...it is the result of sustainable perseverance with magnifying objectives which are tightly connected with each other. Vision never fades if one is determined to adhere to its strong roots!

All the best mate...I can understand your pain...yet can assure you that winners like you must not count crumbling hopes! Winners find solutions in every problem!

you are right my friend.winnes really find solution 4 evry prob.bt winners nvr complain as u did nor dey gt worried 4 ne thng.b4 ansng 2 ur qn i want 2 told u a real incident whch my told 2day.my frnd's wrkng in satyam.hp no need 2 explain here abt d current situatn n aftr jan 7 situatn.2 her team a person who's her teammates frnd wrkng 4 a mnc gav an offer.in dat person thrz n urgent req whch was matchng dis team's skill.dat person was a manager n ready 2 giv ne package bt ve 2 join in 7days.do u knw none of her teammemb were ready 2 join n said dey blieve in satyam.hats of 2 those satyamite.my frnd told dat her manager giv dem nough confdnce.if satyam ppl's attitud's lyk dis y cant b ours.

I am really very confused. Dont knw what to do. Was searching solution in net, came across this blog. Let me share my confusion so that some one can provide me solution.
I am a satyam employee. I love this co a lot and treat it as my second family. Thats why was not trying outside in market. One day i thought let me know my market value and post resume to market and next day i got call from product based n i cleared interview n got 51% hike at same location with promotion. But my manager is saying within 2-3 weeks he'll let me knw about onsite oppurtunity. From last 2 days also i am feeling something odd. As if i am leaving my family n going away. But if i am thinking of career growth ì feel i should on. Please tell me wil staying in satyam b a good decission?

I would share my own experience.

Anyone who has worked for Satyam with real professionalism, he would fall in love with this company. I am in love with this company for sure. Especially, I have surpassed the corporate crisis of this decade and today stand tall with my head high, as not only I have survived but contributed to make MSat bounce back to form.

I would have jumped any other comp. as during last 6 months I even had offers with 200% hike from USA & UK. What made me stick to MSat till now is obviously not money nor fame etc. I felt, I have seen the crisis of my life time. WHat if I stay tough, work hard and be a part of forthcoming success. My plan has worked nicely so far and my predictions have gone exactly right.

I am not a follower of money though, in your case, your priorities count. Think what is best for you. If you wanna quick bucks over night, there are plenty of offers in market. But, if you wanna build a career, sticking to a single organization helps.

Dont get confused at all. If you love Satyam, stay for some more time. I am sure all the hard work you might have done in past for this org., you will get rewarded soon. Especially, when we march forward to 2010, MSat gonna be the Hot Cake for the Global Market!

Thanks for clearing my confusion. Actually i never got worried for recession or satyam crisis. Because i am one of those associates whose project went out of satyam because of jan 7th historic event and tech mahindra hadnt taken over satyam. At that time also i decided to continue with satyam moving towards uncertain future along with my company rejecting very good rebadging offer. As a resut my rating were ruined as my managers left as part of rebadging and who assessed me wanted to fit me in bell curve irrespective of hard work and appreciation mentioned. Its obivious also as i have not worked under that person so why will he rate me good. Still i decided to continue. It was just like someone' lover or husband or wife betrayed the person and still like devdas he/she loves him/her. But after which had happend i decided to try in market. Ì was not recognised for my effort and continuation in terms of promotion and staggered bonus, which i deserve. Still felt that someday it wil b recognised. But yday it was heights. Yday ì realised as per this industry my manager just want to convince me to send onsite to stop attirition and make his work done. Now i knew why people leave satyam. Ì am also in this industry and as per industry standard decided not to love co any more. Ìf my prev manager who has 14 yr exp in satyam can leave during rebadging then ì should have listened at that time it self. U were right prasad sir at that time. Now i'll moveon with mz new offer. today i got award in satyam. I dont know what should i do? I should be smiling or i should cry that satyam is giving me when i am leaving satyam. Just a managerial game to retain. Why didnot it had recognized after july . Its just like a lolypop to kid.
